I graduated from Tuskegee University, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2023, followed by my Master’s degree in 2024 from the University of Michigan. While there, I specialized in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse.
My approach to counseling is rooted in trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practices, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and respected. I am committed to understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of those I serve, creating a safe and inclusive space for healing and growth. In addition to my primary focus, I am
exploring Christian-based therapeutic techniques. I aim to integrate these approaches into my practice, providing clients with holistic support that aligns with their values and beliefs.
Hello! My name is Emily Edgerton. I am currently a graduate student at East Carolina University. I am working on my master's in Counselor Education in hopes of becoming a clinical mental health counselor. I currently use a CBT approach and have a passion for helping individuals with autism, as well as anxiety and depressive disorders. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, trying new foods, spending time with my cats, or watching a good movie on Netflix!
Hi there! My name is Katala Peterson, and I am a current graduate student with Capella University, obtaining my master’s of science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I tend to use a playful and strengths-based approach to my therapy, leaning heavily into Solution-Focused Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Therapy. I am also a trained Brainspotter, and find deep-meaning in serving couples, families, and adolescents, particularly around attachment-centric issues. When I am not practicing, I spend my time rock-climbing, reading light-hearted fiction, drinking coffee, and attending any classical-music events I can find. My core belief is that everyone deserves peace, and I love being a part of people finding theirs.
